Wear something unique. We manufacture our shoes ethically and in an environmentally sustainable manner, bringing stylish footwear to both, men and women.
Kenkiks is a small footwear factory in Sastamala village in Keikyä, where past and present meet in a unique way. We make handmade shoes from recycled and surplus materials focusing on style and durability. Even though the collection takes inspiration from historical shoes, comfortability is still as important.
About me
Kenkiks was born out of the desire to provide quality shoes by utilising recycled and surplus materials. My interest in history and culture can be seen in the collection. Sometimes, the glory of days past inspires my designs - other times, the material itself inspires me.
I make my choices based on how environmentally friendly and ethical they are. The fabrics I use may have functioned, for example, as coats, tablecloths or upholstery fabrics. The soles, heels, and other components are surplus material from other shoe manufacturers. And because the materials are limited, almost every pair is unique.
In addition to shoes, I make jewellery and other accessories using recycled materials. I also make and repair film and theatre props.
Call or email me. Let's create something one-of-a-kind for your feet.
